The epidemiological situation in Slovakia has slightly improved, with the number of new cases going down and slightly fewer hospitalised patients, although the number of patients on artificial lung ventilations is still rising, Health Analysis Institute (IZA) head Matej Misik reported after a session of the Government on Tuesday.
The average daily death rate is also starting to decrease. However, the figures are still alarmingly high and Slovak hospitals close to their capacity limits, warned Misik.
"It still holds that about 81 percent of patients admitted to the hospitals were not vaccinated against COVID-19 disease," detailed Misik.
