UNESCO: Falconry another addition to Slovakia's cultural heritage list

Falconry become the eighth and latest addition to UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage of Slovakia, members of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Intergovernmental Committee decided on Tuesday. Falconry is a cultural heritage item shared by Saudi Arabia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Portugal, Qatar, Syria, South Korea, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Croatia, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, and now Slovakia.

Slovakia's cultural heritage on the list also includes the fujara and its music, the music of Terchova, the bagpipe culture, puppetry in Slovakia and Bohemia, the multipart singing of Horehronie, modrotlač resist block printing and indigo dyeing in Europe, and wire craft.
