At the meeting of the EU Council for Internal Policy and Justice in Brussels, Interior Minister Roman Mikulec presented Slovakia’s support for Poland, Lithuania and Latvia in solving the migration crisis. High on the agenda of the meeting was, among other issues, the EU’s New Pact on Migration and Asylum tabled by the European Commission. According to Mikulec, the last migration crisis on the EU’s external borders of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia with Belarus should be reflected in the new pact. As the Interior Minister added, Slovakia is well aware that it has a share of responsibility for protecting the border with Ukraine.
