Slovakia to buy more doses of monoclonal antibodies

Slovakia will procure more doses of monoclonal antibodies to be used for treating COVID-19 patients. The Government on Wednesday approved to that effect a Health Ministry-sponsored bill. The Health Ministry proposed to clinch a bilateral agreement on the purchase of 60,000 doses of Paxlovid, so that the next batch of the antiviral drug can be available in January, February and March 2022. In addition, the ministry proposed to procure 5,000 doses of Ronapreve. The Finance Ministry will need to allocate financial resources for the procurement worth a total of €55 million.
