The coalition council at its session on Monday evening didn’t agree on the question of a €500 vaccination bonus for seniors as proposed by Finance Minister Igor Matovic. This was announced in a statement by the caucus head of the Freedom and Solidarity Party (SaS), Anna Zemanová. "We insist on our position, we will not agree to the €500 vaccination bonus," Zemanová said, as the SaS party would only agree to a €150 vaccination bonus. This means that the government and parliament are likely to negotiate the introduction of €500 bonus without the consent of the SaS.
Meanwhile, as Zemanová announced for SITA press agency, schools are supposed to remain open and, when it comes to their closure, the situation should be evaluated particularly in every region by its regional health authority.
