Slovakia’s GDP should grow by 2.4 percent this year, says the latest forecast of the Slovak central bank. On Wednesday Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that this could mean the end of the financial and economic crisis. "We're in a stage when we can expect very positive trends and results for two or three years ahead," said the premier.
He was also upbeat about the increasing dynamics of growth that the Central Bank expects, as it estimates that Slovakia's GDP will rise by 3.2 percent in 2015 and by 3.5 percent in 2016. "According to various experts, when GDP growth tops 3 percent of GDP, processes conducive to job creation and cuts in the unemployment rate get started," said PM Fico.
