As of Monday, only vaccinated employees and those who overcame COVID-19 in the last 180 days are allowed access to workplaces, and the rest must undertake mandatory tests for the disease once a week, according to the latest regulation issued by the Public Health Office (ÚVZ). This rule is in force until the end of the year. In order to meet the condition of entering workplaces only in the OTP (vaccinated, tested negative or recovered from COVID-19) mode, the regulation obliges employers to perform regular checks on workplaces.
At the weekend, Bratislava police officers were conducting checks of compliance with pandemic measures in the capital city of Slovakia after 8 p.m. and imposed several fines. The police pointed out that a curfew is in effect and anyone leaving their home after 8 p.m. must have a trustworthy explanation for such action. "On Sunday night, we encountered a few persons on their way to work, two foreigners who did not know about the current measures and even people partying in the downtown" wrote the Police on social media. During the state of emergency, fines of up to €1,000 can be imposed for non-compliance on the spot.
