Poll: Voice-SD would have won election

If the parliamentary election had been held in November, opposition's Voice-SD would have won with 19.2%, according to a poll carried out by the Focus agency. Another opposition Smer-SD party would have been second with 15% of votes followed by governing Freedom and Solidarity (11.5%), largest governing Ordinary People (7.9%), non parliamentary Progressive Slovakia (7.7%), non parliamentary far-right Republic party (6.8%), governing We Are Family party and non parliamentary Christian Democrats (KDH) (6.1% each).

The remaining parties would earn less than 5% not making the house. The first “out” would be opposition parliamentary far-right People’s Party Our Slovakia (4.8%), non parliamentary ethnic-Hungarian Alliance (4.4%), non parliamentary Slovak National party (3.6%), governing For the People and non parliamentary Good Choice (2.1% each) and non parliamentary Together (1%).

Voice-SD would have garnered 36 seats in the house, Smer-SD 28, Freedom and Solidarity 22, Ordinary People 15, Progressive Slovakia 14, far right Republic 13, and We Are Family and KDH 11 each.

The survey was conducted in November 16-23 on a sample of 1,005 respondents.
