Slovak alpine skier Petra Vlhová finished as runner-up in the World Cup slalom race, with the American Mikaela Shiffrin beating her by 0.75s with the fastest second run in Killington, USA on Sunday. The Slovak led after the first run, but ultimately dropped to second place after she made an error at the top of her second run. Swiss Wendy Holdener ended up third (+0.83).
"I don't know exactly what happened. My skis bumped together, I lost my balance. It was a great mistake. Then I had to take risks," she said after the race.
