Doctors and representatives of local and regional governments have asked Parliament via a memorandum to suspend the planned reform of the hospital network in order to adjust it. In particular, the signatories of the memorandum are asking for a guarantee that the reorganisation of inpatient care will not begin until the outpatient care system has been bolstered. The document has been signed by the governors of Košice, Prešov and Banská Bystrica regions, head of the Doctors Trade Union Association Peter Visolajský and the mayors of Brezno, Jelšava, Revúca and Zvolen (all Banska Bystrica region).
On November 11, MP passed the reform to the Secord reading in the Parliament.
