Seven personalities, four of them in memoriam, will receive the Alexander Dubček state award, the Government decided on Wednesday. The awards will be conferred on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birthday of 1968 Prague Spring communist reform movement leader Alexander Dubček.
The list of the honoured includes the late investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová, singer Miroslav Žbirka and journalist Eugen Gindl. It will also be awarded to Czech singer Marta Kubišová, the breeder of wine varieties Dorota Pospíšilová and historian Ivan Laluha.
