Recordings of former PM cannot be used in court

The surveillance videos from a hunter's cabin that recorded conversations between former PM and Smer-SD chair Robert Fico, former interior minister Robert Kaliňák, entrepreneur Miroslav Bödör, lawyer Marek Para and son of former police chief Tibor Gašpar are unlawful and cannot be used as evidence in any criminal prosecution, Prosecutor-General Maroš Žilinka posted on a social network. Originally, a court approved the surveillance due to suspicions of poaching. Later, the recordings were supposed to have become evidence in the Purgatory corruption case. The criminal prosecution in the matter of poaching was terminated by the Nitra Prosecutor's Office on November 16.
