On Tuesday, Slovakia recorded 10,315 positive PCR tests, the highest number since the start of the pandemic. The number of hospital admissions has reached the critical threshold of 3,200. According to the interim automaton, 3,200 Covid patients in hospitals is the threshold of a humanitarian crisis, since no other medical procedures will be possible.
In reaction to the critical situation in Slovakia, the council of health experts is proposing a three-week lockdown for everyone in the country.
