Central European capital cities on climate change

Mayors of Bratislava, Prague, Budapest and Warsaw as well as representatives of the C40 city network association discussed urban solutions to help tackle the climate crisis at the Central European Energy Conference, organised by the Slovak Foreign Affairs Society on Monday.
The mayors discussed the active role of the cities in ameliorating the adverse effects of global warming. The cities must take into account the heavy traffic, warming, low energy efficiency of buildings and high emissions in all their strategic decisions. Despite the fact that the cities declare their ambition to become the climate leaders in their countries, they point out that in order to meet such a commitment, they must also necessarily receive adequate resources and powers.
