Sberbank bank will provide a loan of €870 million to Slovenské Elektrárne. Slovakia’s dominant electricity producer is taking a loan for 7.5 years. “Successful completion of this contract represents an important milestone in boosting the company’s financial stability and support to our growth plans in CEE region,” CEO of Slovenské Elektrárne Luca d'Agnese said after he signed the loan contract.
The Italian company Enel may not control the nuclear power plants in Mochovce or in Jaslovské Bohunice in the future. The group is considering selling its 66 percent stake in Slovenské Elektrárne (SE), which operates the nuclear power plants as well as other electricity sources. D’Agnese confirmed this possibility on Tuesday.
