President Zuzana Caputova was attending the funeral of late singer, songwriter and musician Miroslav Zbirka on Friday, November 19. The head of state was invited to the ceremony by the bereaved family. The funeral was held at Strasnice crematorium in Prague. Zbirka, who passed away at the age of 69, was a legend of the Slovak musical scene, multiple winner of several competitions in Slovakia, a member of the Hall of Fame in Slovakia since 2006. His albums have been released in several hundreds of thousands copies since the mid-1980s, including some in English.
