Proceedings over poaching concerning leaked surveillance scrapped

A Nitra region prosecutor has dropped the criminal proceedings in a poaching case that concerned recently leaked surveillance footage from a hunting cabin. The decision cannot be appealed against. The leaked footage from the cabin captured discussions between Smer-SD head Robert Fico, former interior minister Robert Kalinak, attorney Marek Para, entrepreneur Miroslav Bodor and the son of former police chief Tibor Gaspar. According to the authorities, the official reason behind the surveillance of the cabin were suspicions of poaching. The videos of Fico and company were meant to be used later as evidence in the Purgatory criminal case, although it is not clear at this moment whether this has already happened or will take place in the future.
