Valasek: We Are Family should quit coalition, it's becoming a brake on reforms

Coalition leaders and the prime minister should bring Parliamentary Chair Boris Kollar (We Are Family) back into line, or We Are Family should quit the coalition, as it's becoming a brake on reforms, MP Tomas Valasek (Independent) has told TASR.

As part of the recovery plan, Slovakia has voluntarily undertaken to carry out some important reforms, which the European Commission has committed itself to financing, stated Valasek. "If we fail to carry out these reforms, our country will literally lose hundreds of millions of euros," he said, adding that We Are Family probably won't back some of the reforms.

"The rules of financing have been set in such a way that if we fail to approve one component of each package, we won't get anything for the remaining reforms in the package either," stated Valasek.
