Over the ten years in office, outgoing President Ivan Gašparovič has experienced many difficult moments, one of them being the fall of Iveta Radičová’s government in October 2011. President Gašparovič revealed this on his last week of being in the office.
He finishes his second and final term in the presidential seat on 15th June when President elect Andrej Kiska will take over. His inauguration in planned for Sunday 15th June, when at a special session of the Slovak Parliament he will take oath.
