Slovaks have three thousands new jobs in their palms. After three years, the driving force of the Slovak economy, carmakers Volkswagen, Kia and PSA Peugeot Citroen are planning to invest in Slovakia once again and expand their production.
“We are seeking models and debating also the capacities of sub-contractors,” Economy Minister Tomas Malatinský said for the HN business daily. Germany’s Volkswagen is preparing the biggest investment. The car manufacturer is expected to open up to 1,500 jobs. Auto makers do not want to give us the projects for free, Minister Malatinský informed, confirming that the three investors request aid – financial, or tax reliefs.
