The end of last week was tragic. Four people were killed in an accident involving a coach carrying secondary-school students on the D1 highway between Piešťany and Trnava on Friday.
Other people suffered severe and less serious injuries and were taken to the Trnava Faculty Hospital. Seven of them are still at the Hospital and are stable; twelve have been released over the weekend. There were 32 people on the bus; including 29 students- mostly aged 14 and 15, two teachers and a driver. The police haven’t yet released any details on the possible causes of the accident, but on Saturday they pressed charges against the driver for the crime of endangering the lives of a large group of people.
