Human rights violations exacerbate instability and curb prosperity, the chief of Slovak diplomacy Ivan Korcok (SaS nominee) declared in his speech opening an international conference on support for human rights and democracy held at the ministry on Thursday. The event is also being attended by Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) and Justice Minister Maria Kolikova.
"The aim of the event is to discuss the values of Slovakia's foreign policy and support for the EU's involvement in bolstering democracy and human rights and freedoms as a basic prerequisite for stability in the world. Also to be unveiled at the conference is a strategy of support for human rights and democracy, a ministry document passed in May 2021," stated Korcok.
The conference was attended by guests from international organisations, Government officials, representatives of Parliament and civil society, the media, entrepreneurs and ambassadors accredited in Slovakia.
