Slovakia supports the reform process in Georgia, which is crucial for the further European orientation and progress of the country, Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok declared during his working visit to Tbilisi on Monday. He confirmed readiness to share Slovak experiences with the complex transformation process while also bolstering its developmental aid, seeing as Georgia is one of the three top countries in Slovakia's developmental aid programme.
According to Foreign Ministry, Georgian officials praised Slovakia's support for their sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognised borders of Georgia.
At the end of his visit, Korcok visited the administrative border with separatist region of South Ossetia. As he underlined, no alternative exists to the diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Georgia, regardless of how difficult it might be.
