Vaccination with third shot in care homes could start next week

On Wednesday, following a session of the central crisis management team, Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky (an OLaNO nominee) reported that care homes in the country have recently been preparing to administer the third shot against COVID-19. The process will most likely be launched next week. Labour Minister Milan Krajniak (We Are Family) announced before the Government session on Thursday that clients and staff at care homes can already enroll for the third shot. Health Minister Lengvarský also stated that as of next week, his ministry will start reaching people with compromised immunity, claiming that these individuals too should be given priority when it comes to the third vaccination shot. According to the health minister, if the process for these two groups works as planned, it should be a matter of one week of preparation to launch [the third vaccination shot] for the general public as well.
