Vice-premier and Investment and Regional Development Minister Veronika Remisova (For the People) expressed her concern on Wednesday that the city of Bratislava will not manage to complete the extension of the tram line in the borough of Petrzalka by the end of 2023. The 2023 deadline must be observed if the project is to be co-financed from EU funds. According to Bratislava spokesperson Katarina Rajcanova, however, if the tram line isn't finished by 2023, the Slovak capital still won't lose the EU financing. The new tram line across Petrzalka is supposed to be built by a consortium of contractors with a price tag of €74.5 million. However, the work hasn't yet started, as the contract with the city hasn't yet been put to ink.
