National Health Information Centre (NCZI) spokeswoman Alzbeta Siva reported on Wednesday that 830,192 people aged over 60 had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 5, which makes up 64.57 percent of all individuals from the said age category.
The spokeswoman clarified that the number includes those who have received both doses of a two-shot vaccine, as well as those who have been inoculated with the one-shot Janssen jab from Johnson & Johnson.
Meanwhile, the total number of partially inoculated individuals in the country currently stands at 2,462,200, while the total figure for fully vaccinated people is just shy of 2,264,000.
