Another stretches of Bratislava zero bypass opened

On Sunday, a 2.2-kilometre stretch of the D4 motorway between Bratislava-Jarovce and Bratislava-Petržalka was opened. Moreover, the remaining part of the R7 expressway between the Bratislava, Nivy (Prievoz) and Bratislava, South intersections also opened. Last Sunday, a 4.3-kilometre long section of the D4 motorway, including the Lužný Bridge across the River Danube south of Bratislava was opened. Drivers coming to Slovakia from Austria or the Czech Republic via D2 motorway will thus be able to directly connect to the D4 motorway and R7 expressway.

The opening of the last part of the D4 motorway between Vajnory and Ivanka pri Dunaji should take place in the near future, however, the construction of the intersection between the D4 bypass and the D1 motorway to Trnava is expected to take up to five years. This intersection is crucial for the bypass to fully help redirect transit from the inner parts of Bratislava.
