It is with great sadness and a heavy heart we have to inform of our colleague's passing. Anca Monica Dragu has been an active reporter and host at Radio Slovakia International for over 15 years. Her insightful and thorough reporting on Slovak politics, healthcare and business highlighted the successes and challenges of these sectors, all in an effort to bring unbiased information to her listeners and readers. Being a Romanian in Slovakia, she focused on issues faced by foreigners living in this country and was a loud advocate for their improvement. Her talent to bring human stories to light and have them shine on a greater social issue was admirable and her love for sports often brought her to loud cheers and even tears when covering tennis tournaments, hockey matches, cycling rallies or the Olympics. Slovakia was her second home and all of us, RSI reporters, staff and listeners, were her second family. Anca will live on in our memories. May she rest in peace.
