In the early hours of Wednesday morning a thief broke into the Shopping Centre in Komárno, making away with €40,000 which was stored in a metal box.
The Nitra police spokesperson Božena Bruchterová explained that the offender pried open a window at the back of the building on the first floor before stealing the cash box, and that an investigation is now underway. Because theft has caused considerable financial damage, the punishment ranges from three to ten years in prison, added the police spokesperson. The thief is reportedly also operating in the area of agricultural cooperatives in Beša, in the Levice District.
