Epidemic situation: no “green” districts

Based on the COVID-19 automaton, thirteen districts will be under a second-degree warning as of next week, while 39 districts will be treated as "red" (first-degree warning), 27 as "orange" (alert) and none as green (monitoring), the Government decided at its session on Wednesday. The situation is worsening towards the east, north and south of the country. The epidemic situation has not only worsened in Slovakia, but also among our neighbors. Poland is reporting a sharp increase in new cases, where they have the highest numbers since May. These are comparable values with Slovakia, which, however, has 7 times fewer inhabitants. On Tuesday, a record number of 1,459 positive cases were detected from PCR testing, almost 74 percent of them were not vaccinated. 278 people had a positive antigen test, of whom almost 78 percent were not vaccinated.
