President Zuzana Caputova was set to give a video speech at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. "She'll appear right at the beginning of the general debate, and she'll be the first woman among the speakers. She'll also be the first European leader to give a speech," Caputova's spokesman Martin Strizinec told TASR ahead of the address. The spokesman remarked that this year's UN General Assembly will take place in hybrid form, meaning that while some speakers will appear remotely, others will attend the session in person.
