Most-Híd party dissolves

The extra-parliamentary Most-Hid party will cease to exist, however, it will work as a platform within the newly formed ethnic Hungarian party Alliance, formed out of three ethnic Hungarian entities - Spolupatričnosť, Party of Hungarian Coalition (SMK) and Most-Híd. Most-Híd party vice-chair Attila Agócs stated that the platform will promote a multi-ethnic principle in the joint cooperation. According to him, the platform will assert in the future that Slovakia remains in the EU and NATO, as well as promote needs for regional development. Most-Híd was a member of the governing coalition from 2010 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2020.

Agócs hopes that the Alliance party might gain some 6% in the general election. He ruled out the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia and the extra-parliamentary Republic parties from future cooperation. He added that Most-Hid's decay was influenced by its coalition with Smer-SD and, therefore, he says "rather no" to the cooperation with this party.
