On Monday morning, an inspection at the Interior Ministry led to the detaining four National Crime Agency investigators taking part in a police operation named Purgatory. The operation focuses on corruption among former leaders of police and their link to controversial businessman Norbert Bödör, who is currently in custody. Interior Minister Roman Mikulec considers the detention to be a continuation of efforts to intimidate investigators. "My conviction that dirty games are being played in the background is growing every day", said Mikulec.
