The gift that President Zuzana Caputova is planning to present to Pope Francis during his upcoming visit to Slovakia will have a symbolic but also a practical value, TASR learnt from the president's spokesman Martin Strizinec on Thursday. Head of the President Office's protocol department Roman Roth noted that the gift will represent Slovakia. Caputova will also receive a gift from the Pope, and the two will physically present their gifts to each other, in person. Pope Francis will visit Slovakia from September 12th-15th, and will go to Bratislava, Kosice, Presov and Sastin (Trnava region). He's scheduled to meet the country's top three constitutional officials as well as representatives of the Jewish and Roma communities. A Holy Mass with a homily given by the pope will take place in Sastin.
