A group of 11 OSCE observers, which included one Slovak national and had been held by unknown insurgents in Ukraine since Wednesday afternoon, were released, according to a statement released by the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry's press department.
"Foreign and European Affairs Ministry emergency staff have spoken to the detained Slovak observer, who confirmed that, he and the other ten members of the OSCE group are safe and well. According to available information, all the released observers should now continue their mission," reported the ministry. The ministry further stated that it condemns the incident, and it urged militants to release another group of four OSCE observers that were seized east of Donetsk on Monday. Their whereabouts are still unknown.
