German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is on a two-day visit of Slovakia. On Thursday morning, he met with President Zuzana Čaputová. The German president's visit is taking place shortly before the parliamentary elections in Germany. According to Čaputová's spokesperson Martin Strižinec, the topics of the negotiations in the Presidential Palace will be mainly focused on the current challenges facing Slovakia, Germany and the European Union. Both presidents are also to take part in the Globsec discussion on current challenges for democracy and attend a jazz concert.
