According to the Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger, Europe faces various problems, but it must be proactive, not reactive. He stated this in his speech at the 16th annual Strategic Forum hosted by the Slovenian town of Bled. Its topic this year was "The Future of Europe". According to the Slovak PM, the agreement on dealing with the future of Europe can be found by returning to the common values on which Europe stands, and if we are true to them, they will guide us to find solutions. As for one of the problematic issues, Heger said that Europe lacked a long-term strategy on migration, and called for a united voice in the EU on the issue. He added that politics is the art of compromise.
