Cabinet to deal with climate action plan and investment aid drafts

The national action plan for implementing Slovakia's climate change management, as discussed by the Cabinet on Tuesday, focuses on seven areas - water protection, management and use of water, sustainable agriculture, adapted forestry, natural environment and biodiversity, health and healthy population, settlement environment, and technical, economic and social measures. It's been drawn up by more than 200 experts in various fields. The Cabinet also dealt with several proposals to provide investment aid in the form of tax relief. The proposals concern, for example, engineering company MKS Matec Slovakia, which plans to invest €2 million in expanding its plant in Sabinov (Presov region) and to create 20 new jobs. Another company applying for aid, Schaeffler Kysuce, plans to invest €15.3 million in expanding its technological centre in Kysucke Nove Mesto (Zilina region) and to create 55 new jobs there.
