On Monday, Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (Ordinary people party nominee) announced that he files a criminal complaint against Smer-SD head and former Prime Minister Robert Fico for slander. "Fico has been using discrediting tactics based on spreading a large amount of disinformation, conspiracies and notable manipulation for quite some time," wrote Mikulec. According to him, Smer-SD is currently cooking up "a new scenario in its long-term efforts to discredit me."
Smer-SD has been lately focusing on various alleged suspicions concerning Mikulec, and has initiated yet another no-confidence motion in him, which should take place over the coming days. On the other hand, numerous people linked to Smer-SD face charges, prosecutions or have already confessed to various crimes.
