The minimum wage will be set at €646 per month next year, Labour, Social Affairs and Family Minister Milan Krajniak (We Are Family) posted on social media during a meeting of the tripartite (employers, unions and the Government) on Monday. The tripartite did not meet the request of the Trade Union Confederation (KOZ), who demanded an increase to €680 a month. The Association of Employer Unions (AZZZ) has proposed in a statement that the method of calculating the minimum wage be reconsidered and that in the future it be set at 60 percent of the median wage. It would also welcome the idea that minimum wage demands be scrapped completely in the future. The Association of Industrial Unions and Transport (APZD) and the Republic's Employers Union (RUZ) have expressed the same opinion.
