Entrepreneurs in tourism have welcomed the extension of state aid, however, they continue to appeal to the state to help the sector by reducing the value added tax (VAT) on hospitality services, representatives of hotel and hospitality sector associations have said. The statement was made in response to an announcement that the Transport and Construction Ministry is launching its third stage of aid to tourism on Tuesday. "About two months ago, we pointed out that this aid was desirable. Revenue declines were very high as compared to 2019, so help for entrepreneurs has been put in place," said Slovak Tourism Association (ZCR) head Marek Harbulak.
