The National Union of Employers welcomes the Government's decision to "reward" people vaccinated against COVID-19 and harbours hope that the approved measures might prevent another total lockdown of the country. TASR learnt this from the Union's president Miroslav Kiralvarga on Wednesday. The Union of Employers also welcomes the options given to establishments to choose their own level of stringency regarding measures, based on whether they decide to provide services for the vaccinated only, include the people tested for COVID-19 or provide services to everyone. "Despite this, it holds that the restaurant, hotel and tourism sectors, hit hardest by the pandemic and literally on their last legs, likely won't avoid another toughening up of measures," added Kiralvarga.
The coalition party We Are Family noted that its ministers were in favour of making the COVID automaton non-discriminatory and of not making vaccination compulsory. It stressed that shop owners will decide whom they will allow to enter their outlets, and so people will not suffer from discrimination.
