Slovak President sends condolences to the Czech Republic in response to train crash

President Zuzana Čaputová on Wednesday sent a telegram of condolences to her Czech counterpart Miloš Zeman in connection with the train collision in the Plzeň region that claimed at least two lives and caused injuries to several dozen people. "In the telegram, the president, on behalf of the citizens of the Slovak Republic, expressed her sincere condolences to the families and close ones of the victims and wished an early recovery to the injured," said the president's spokesman Martin Strižinec. Two passenger trains collided near the village of Milavce in the southwest of the Czech Republic shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
