Former Financial Administration head released from custody

Former Financial Administration head Frantisek Imrecze, charged with corruption, was released from custody at the behest of Special Prosecutor Daniel Lipšic. Lipšic explained that there are no remaining reasons to keep him in detention following several procedural steps that were taken last week. Imrecze has confessed to the crimes that he has been charged with, expressing regret, and he has cooperated with law enforcement when it comes to clarifying further crimes.

Also released was former head of Financial Administration's IT unit Milan Grega, who faces the same charges in the case. Both men had been in custody since January 29.
