One year to EYOF in Banská Bystrica

On Saturday (July 24) evening, the central Slovak town of Banská Bystrica launched the final countdown of 365 days until the beginning of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). The sporting event, which will welcome young athletes from 50 European countries, will be held from 24 to 30 July 2022. Besides Banská Bystrica, the competitions will take place also in Zvolen, Detva, Slovenská Ľupča and Badín. Most of the sports venues and accommodation facilities are ready for the event already one year prior to the event. The organizers also introduced the mascot of this event, which is a mining dwarf called Permoník. According to the organizers, the recruitment of volunteers still continues.
