New selection for Slovakia’s additional judge at EGC in October

A new selection for the post of an additional judge at the General Court of the EU in Luxembourg is slated to take place on October 13. The previous three selection proceedings were supposed to be held on February 2, March 23 and June 15, yet there were no candidates. Slovakia has failed to fill the vacant post at the General Court of the EU since September 2016. On the most recent occasion, the Council of the EU's consulting body rejected the bid of Martina Jánošíková. The list of rejected candidates also includes Michal Kučera, Mária Patakyová (who was later appointed as ombudswoman in Slovakia), former politician Radoslav Procházka and Judge Ivan Rumana. The deadline for submitting applications set to September 14.
