President Zuzana Caputova will welcome in Bratislava Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic, who will pay an official visit to Slovakia on Thursday (July 15). Support for Montenegro's reform and integration efforts, as well as the EU's enlargement towards the Western Balkans will be high on the agenda of the two officials' talks.
The Western Balkans have long been one of Slovakia's foreign policy priorities. "It's in our common interests for Montenegro, as well as other countries in the region, to integrate into the EU as soon as possible, thereby strengthening stability on the European continent," said Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok during his visit to Podgorica in February.
