Continuing her tour of the Orava area, in the Zilina region, President Zuzana Caputova on Tuesday visited the town of Oravska Polhora, which is located near Slovakia's border with Poland. During the visit she noted that the northern part of the area has been making progress in terms of energy sustainability and the use of renewable sources, claiming that this is the result of collaboration between local towns and villages. "Several local towns are making use of heat pumps or burning biomass for heating, which allows them to reduce their costs. It's a very ecological solution. These towns can inspire other towns and cities across the country," said the president.
