On Sunday, representatives of smallest coalition For the People party met in the town of Piešťany (Trnava region) at an informal meeting to discuss the future of the party. The party has been mired in a deadlock that emerged after the Government crisis earlier this year. Unhappy members of the Presidium centered around Justice Minister Mária Kolíková have created a platform within the party and want to convene a congress to elect a new party leader. However, Informatisation Minister and party chair Veronika Remišová refused to do so. As of Monday noon, no details regarding the discussion have been published.
