Slovakia will open all border crossings with the Czech Republic later this week and begin random checks on them, Czech Interior Minister Jan Hamáček posted on Twitter on Wednesday, adding that he had been informed about this by his Slovak counterpart Roman Mikulec (OĽaNO). The Slovak Government closed 14 smaller border crossings between Slovakia and the Czech Republic on Monday. This provoked protests at several crossings, with some people removing concrete barriers from the roads.
